                              Stephen Brown.

A painful lesson in the art of playing football was dished out by AWMC at Beltoy today.

Playing with passion, ability and a sound team structure they were by far the better side, first to the ball and more often than not to the second ball as well.

Four goals to the good in the first half scored by Paul McClaron (2), Kevin Murphy and Paul O’Neil with only keeper Dean Hagan standing between AWMC and a good hiding.

A lone replay scored by Rab Armstrong’s speculative shot embarrassing the AWMC keeper as it sailed over his head.

Kilroots Rab Armstrong had a header saved on the line and Andrew Dummigan shot wide.

Second half started as the first finished Stephen Brown added goal number five on 50 minutes.

This prompted manager Paul Hanna into a double substitution Joel Lough and Barry Meek replaced Rab McKee and David Kidd.

Kilroot played with more confidence but never looked like unsettling the rampant AWMC.

Kilroots third sub Ben Harvey replaced Andrew Benson on 60 minutes.

The remainder of the game was competitive with both sides taking no prisoners but all in the right spirit.
